Annual Conference

We are pleased to announce that registration for the Fifth Annual Sales & Marketing Joint Conference of NYSCMA, Inc. and NYNAME is officially open! The conference is set for June 10-12 at the Radisson Hotel in Corning, New York and promises to be one of our best ever.

New for this year, all attendees will be able to register online thanks to our online registration system. In addition to allowing you to register yourself and others from your newspaper or company online, our new system also gives you the choice of paying via credit card or printing an invoice to pay by check.

Once again, both NYSCMA, Inc. and NYNAME are offering separate specials allowing their members to register additional attendees from a newspaper or company at a reduced rate of $125 each (a $50 savings). These offers cannot be combined between organizations, and members should register for the conference via the appropriate organization’s website (nyscma.com for circulation or this site for advertising). But hurry, conference registration closes on May 14, 2012.

Please note that you must make hotel reservations directly with the Radisson Hotel, either by phone or online. To reserve your room by phone, call hotel reservations at 607-962-5000 and mention "NYSCMA & NYNAME Room Block" to receive our group rates (rooms start at $110 per night, plus 12% tax). Reservations can also be made online at www.radisson.com/corningny with the use of Promotional Code JSMC2. You must book your room by May 14, 2012 to take advantage of our group rates.

History

NYNAME can trace its roots back to 1922 when the Advertising Managers Bureau of the New York State Dailies was formed. This was one year after the founding of the New York State Publishers Association. For sixty-three years, the New York State Dailies Advertising Managers Bureau as it was known, held yearly meetings, training sessions, and an annual conference. Like all organizations that evolve and grow, so too did the Advertising Managers Bureau. On June 6, 1985, at the annual Spring Conference, the membership voted to change the name to the New York Newspaper Advertising and Marketing Executives Association. On October 8, 1985, NYNAME became an official incorporated not for profit in the state of New York.
