CANNY/ADNET Sales Competition
NYNPA is pleased to announce the return of its monthly CANNY/ADNET Sales Competition. Each month, NYNPA will reward the newspaper salesperson with the highest total dollar amount of CANNY and ADNET sales by issuing him or her a check for $100.
The first competition period is set for August, 2010, beginning with ads sold to run the week of August 1st, and ending with ads sold to run the week of August 29th. During each competition period newspapers will receive updated standings via e-mail, with a winner being announced after month’s end in the New York Minute newsletter.
See below for official rules, or contact Don Ferlazzo with questions at (518) 449-1667 or dferlazzo@nynpa.com.
Rules
- The competition is only open to salespeople employed by a member newspaper of the New York News Publishers Association (NYNPA).
- Each monthly competition period consists of weeks beginning within that month.
- After the final Sunday of the competition period, each salesperson’s CANNY and ADNET sales will be totaled, and the salesperson with the highest total sales will be issued a check for $100.
- When a salesperson sells an ad, the total amount of the ad sale will be credited to that person's monthly total (not just the portion of the sale owed to NYNPA).
- If a salesperson sells an ad with a multiple week run spanning across two or more months, that sale will be counted in the month of the ad’s original run date (i.e. an ad sold to run in both the last week in August and the first week in September will be credited towards the salesperson’s August total).
- Rules are subject to change without notice.
