Description:

Sales coordinator position supports the ad sales team at The Wall Street Journal. Working with a fast paced multimedia sales team, partnering with online sales on integrated programs as well as high impact print campaigns. Support the assigned Account Executive (AE) teams to process incoming Insertion Orders (IOs), back-end account maintenance and continuously monitor live campaigns to gauge delivery success.

Responsibilities:

· Support our sales team with sale of US print campaigns securing space availabilities and reservations.
· Prepare reports used by management and sales teams for forecasting, analysis, and budgeting.
· Act as a liaison between advertisers and agencies to verify insertion dates, rates and secure ad materials.
· Provide excellent customer service to clients as needed to resolve any campaign or billing issues.
· Ensures that the sales team has the required sales materials and support information for sales calls and RFP responses.
· Assist with research for proposals and special projects as needed.
· After close of sale, passes along critical information including signed contracts to the post sales support team.
· This position reports to the Director.  

Requirements:

Knowledge of Microsoft applications is essential. Strong interpersonal skills also a must. Attention to detail and strong written and communication skills required. Proven ability to work well within a team environment while accomplishing individual projects. College degree required.


Publisher - Gatehouse Media, Canandaigua (posted 5/14/10)

Gatehouse Media is recruiting for a Publisher to lead our cluster of newspapers in the Greater Rochester, NY market.  Our cluster is made up of a 10K paid circulation daily, 15 weeklies with distribution of 200K copies and many hyper-local websites.  We also have a healthy commercial print business and facility that compliments our core business.     

This is a very competitive, solid market.  The ideal candidate will have a sales background, a proven track record in growing the top line across each revenue category, excellent marketing skills and a solid understanding of the analytics and processes within each functional area of the business.  Digital focus and vision to continue our aggressive multi-media transformation will be super-high priority.  We're looking for someone that will develop and embrace new revenue initiatives to grow the business.

Circulation Manager - The Register-Star, Hudson (posted 3/16/10)

Hudson-Catskill Newspapers Corp. is seeking a Circulation Manager for its Hudson location. The Register Star, 5-day print and 7-day online, a.m. paper daily paper is located less than an hour north of Kingston and less than an hour south of Albany.

This candidate must have at least five years Circulation and Management experience. He or she must have a vehicle in good working condition and a valid driver’s license; free of major infractions. He or she must be able to communicate effectively with management, customers and employees at all times. This individual must be proficient in running Circulation Management software, have experience with ABC and must be familiar with managing routes, single copy sales, postage and zones and keeping records and creating reports to reflect sales. Finally, this candidate must possess exceptional customer service skills and be able to work irregular hours on occasion.
