Law Day 2024 NIE Features
Law Day is May 1 but these features can be used anytime. This 7-part Mini Series includes:
- An Introduction to the Law Day theme
- 6 quotes from famous people throughout history on the importance of voting
- a teaching guide with graphic organizers
- Audio podcasts of all features (in English)
The seven part series is available in English and Spanish.
This project was created by the New York Newspapers Foundation's News Media Literacy/Newspaper In Education program.

Student Video Contest
VIDEO PROMPT
Make a video that creatively expresses the importance of accurate, reliable information as the United States approaches the election this fall. Use your voice to inspire others to cherish and exercise the right to vote as knowledgeable, informed citizens.
Rules and Guidelines:
The contest is open to students who are at least 13 years of age and currently enrolled in school up to and including grade 12, living and learning in New York State. For more rules and guidelines go to the contest page.
